Canaley - Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchangers
Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchangers use far less space than other shell and tube options. Plate exchangers can operate under a wide variety of conditions and with liquids that have a high tendency to fouling.
Their tough construction ensures that maintenance costs will be lower than shell and tube, a huge plus when you're already saving space.
With a wide list of applications and options, such as sulfuric acid and gasket-less plate exchangers, an Alfa Laval Plate Heat Exchanger might be just right for your process.
Copper Brazed The brazed plate heat exchanger uses corrugated stainless steel plates brazed together with copper to work in high temperature and pressure environments.
Typical uses include basic heating and cooling purposes in manufacturing such as hydraulic oil, heating and cooling in HVAC, evaporation and condensation in refrigeration systems, and tap water and radiator heating. Brochure: Model AC130
Evaporators & Condensers Alfa Laval plate heat exchangers allow huge savings in effeciency over other heat exchangers in condensation and evaporation duties.
The smaller space required, and greater effeciency are huge advantages in choosing plate heat exchangers. Alfa Laval Evaporators and Condensers
Fully Welded In fully welded heat exchangers, the hot and cold fluids are seperated by welds and not gaskets. AlfaRex plate heat exchangers are designed to handle liquids and gases seperately or in mixture and are suited for aggressive media, high pressures, and a wide range of temperatures.
Typical uses are heating and cooling of organic chemicals, desuperheaters in heat recovery, refrigeration interchangers, vegetable oil heaters, steam heaters, and batch reactor heaters. Brochure:AflaRex TM20
Fusion Bonded AlfaNova is a fusion bonded, 100% stainless steel plate heat exchanger ready to handle extreme pressures and temperatures.
Applications include refrigeration systems using natural refrigerants such as ammonia, district heating systems using corrosive water, tap water, and sanitary applications. Brochure:AlfaNova52
Gasketed Gasketed heat exchangers offer very effecient heat transfer in a compact unit.
The heat exchangers are fitted with gaskets, allowing the inter-plate channels to be sealed and to direct the fluids into alternating channels, insuring the two medias never mix.
Types of gasketed plate heat exchangers include double wall, graphite, sanitary, traditional, and wide gap.
Semi Welded Specifically designed to handle aggressive media, semi-welded plate heat exchangers consist of welded channels that alternate with traditional, gasketed channels.
Typical uses include heating and cooling of petrochemcials, cooling of sulfuric acid, and evaporation and condensing in refrigeration plants. Brochure: Model M6MW
